Miss Warrior
Mother
As a new Mum at 14 years old I was catapulted into an adult world where I wasn’t welcome but as a teenager there was no longer a place for me.
I didn’t belong anywhere
The pressure to be perfect, to create perfect, to act perfect, think perfect and NEVER MESS UP was something that I felt every minute of everyday.
I was watched, observed under scrutiny and judged consistently.
A child having a child!
She must sleep around
She must be no good
She must be trouble
She won’t amount to anything.
Friends were soon distant memories as and I was faced with the ultimate challenge of being a mother, a PERFECT mother.
I couldn’t fail
I shouldn’t fail
There was no time for weakness and fear.
I fought my way through and I was determined to make something of my life.
Pole Dancer
After my second daughter was born my first marriage dissolved and I knew I had to do whatever I could to provide my children with the life they deserved and that is when I began pole dancing.
Initially for me it was a way of earning money and being able to have the freedom to spend school holidays with my girls.
I soon realised that this job gave me a chance to be someone else.
A woman who wasn’t a divorced mother of 2 young children.
Struggling to make ends meet.
Battling each day with no family support.
It gave me an escape from a world I felt lost in.
I realised that outside of my ‘normal’ world I felt Confident and Powerful.
And that is when I decided to change myself and my world.
I was going to create it.
I had to figure out what I wanted my reality to be.
I wanted HAPPINESS, INDEPENDENCE , FINANCIAL FREEDOM and SUCCESS and I wasn’t going to stop until I achieved it all.
I had to start putting myself first and stop living my life based on other people’s approval.
Not everyone will be accepting or understanding of your choices but to be honest, so what they don’t have to live your life.
As long as you do what’s best for you, you don’t ever need to justify your actions although I know this is often easier said than done.
That is why I have dedicated my life to helping women step away from fear and into their power.
I Made It!
In 2006 I had a dream to create a business that offered women everything they could want to help them look and feel their best.
I spoke with two friends who immediately were on board and wanted to help make my vision a reality.
I began working on my dream and created an incredible business plan.
I managed to secure over £160,000 from the bank and put every penny I had into it (including a secured loan against my home which was the only secure thing I’d ever had) but life had other ideas and shortly after I was rushed to hospital for life saving surgery after suffering a twin ectopic BUT I was not going to be beaten.
I was going to make my dream a reality and so I worked and worked and worked to make it happen.
I sacrificed time with my children and felt the guilt of leaving them in morning and after school clubs along with friends and family who would help.
Although I knew I was trying to build a future for us it was so hard not to feel bad for working all the time.
Finally I was able to say proudly “I had made something of my life.”
Afraid & Broken
But it didn’t last.
18 months later my life spiraled out of control.
My business partners left.
My 2nd marriage fell apart.
I was forced into bankruptcy.
I was completely broken down and I felt like a failure.
Everyday as I tried to hold everything together that was falling apart I felt broken.
I had tried my very best to build the best life for me and my girls but I had failed.
Again.
I was so vulnerable
So afraid
BUT…
I knew I HAD to find a focus.
So on the very same day as the insolvency team arrived to remove all the equipment and assets from my dream business, I handed over the keys and immediately went 2 doors away to a pub where I’d managed to secure a room upstairs short term so I could continue teaching short term.
Within minutes I was teaching my first pole class there. I had barely wiped the tears from my eyes.
Finding my way
You see I simply couldn’t just give up.
I couldn’t.
I wanted to at times but the fight was on.
I was ready to reset, restructure and rebuild myself and my business. This is the exact same process I take my clients through.
